Pepper come from the same plant that are the berries from piper nigrum plant. The pepper‘s are usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning.
Gia Lai province in Vietnam where our HQ is located, has 18,000 hectares of pepper growing land, the largest area in the Central Highlands. Local farmers are currently in the main pepper harvest season. Sustainable planting methods have helped growers earn a profit.
White pepper is obtained from fully ripped berries. Berries are soaked in water for several days before removing the outer skin and dried under sun or machine. White pepper’s flavor is light, earthy and simple. White pepper‘s lesser aroma compare to black pepper.
Black pepper is obtained from the green, unripe berries of the pepper plant. Unpeeled berries dried under the sun or machine. Black pepper is rich, bolder and black pepper also has a lot of heat, along with a strong aroma.
