Laminated Veneer Lumber is also called LVL, it’s a popular engineered wood material with many applications and it can replace sawn timber with many advantages such as
- Higher strength and more durable.
- Fumigation treated and no fungus.
- Can be reused up to 5 times.
- Custom cut size as requirement
The LVL (laminated veneer lumber) we make is made from multiple wood veneer slices that are subjects to heat and pressure so that they bond together firmly and strongly. The end product is stronger, and uniform when compared to timber and is hence used as a replacement for timber. It also does not twist, warp, or shrink making is more suitable in structural purposes.
Applications
LVL lumber is just like timber in all its properties and hence is used wherever timber is used in construction of buildings. It is used in structural applications like the constructions of beams, lintels, and in formwork. It is also used in roof trusses. LVL can also be used in making portal frames that are commonly used in factories and in commercial buildings.
